Il Combat Wrestling è un regolamento di lotta, estremamente completo, che, forse più di ogni altro, cerca di pareggiare le peculiarità di ciascuno stile, in maniera da non avvantaggiare l'uno piuttosto che l'altro.
E' in programma un Campionato Mondiale, a Sofia, il prossimo 22 Agosto e mi è stato richiesto di formare una squadra che vi possa partecipare, come rappresentativa italiana.
Per questo motivo, verrà organizzato un TRIAL, a cui chiunque potrà partecipare.
Le regole mixano molto bene peculiarità di Lotta Olimpica, Judo, Sambo e Jiu Jitsu.
Si tratta di uno stile completo ed interessantissimo.

Ecco le regole:
International Federation of Combat Wrestling (FICW) is focusing on the promotion of No Gi grappling tournaments with its own rules set, favoring throws, pins and ground submissions.
Weight categories for men: 52, 57, 62, 68, 74, 82, 90, 100, +100 kg.
Weight categories for women: 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 68, 72, 80, +80 kg.
Participants should weigh in wearing shorts.
Match time: 1 R of 5 min.
Required uniform: Red or blue shorts, wrestling shoes.
Winning methods:
1. Tap or verbally submit to joint lock, strangle hold.
2. Technical victory by 12 points difference.
3. Judge decision, based on majority of points. In case of equal score, the winner will be determined by the following factors:
a) Player with less cautions wins.
b) Player who scored big points wins.
4. In case the score is still equal, two extensions of 3 minutes are allowed.
a) In the two extensions, wins the player who scored 2 or more points first.
b) If the match finishes without a clear winner, the referees can vote to declare a winner, based on his performance (active gameplay, willingness to finish the match, submission attempts).
Points awarded:
1) Standing:
1 point for throws, landing the opponent on his front side (elbows and knees) or on his buttocks.
2 points for throws, landing the opponent on his side or lifting him in the air, during the throw.
4 points for throws, landing the opponent on his back, or throwing the opponent above the waist height.
2) Positioning:
1 point for back mount (two hooks in).
1 point for mount position, if not used as a pin.
3) Pins:
Pins are counted after the confirmation of 2 of the 3 referees.
As pins are counted the positions when the top player has control over the immobilization, applied from side control or north- west position.
1 point awarded for 10 seconds or more.
3 points awarded for 20 seconds or more.
4 points awarded for 30 seconds.
Pin points are awarded only once for the duration for 1 match.
If the pin is applied in the end of the match time, the immobilization will be allowed for the full length, even if exceeding the duration of the match.
4) Breaking up, inactivity and cautions:
If the two players are not active on the ground, the referee will break them up and the action will be restarted from standing, in the center of the mat.
If one of the players is reluctant to fight, on agreement of two of the referees, the player will be awarded caution and 1 point for his opponent. If the inactive player does not engage actively in the fight, second caution will be awarded and 1 point for his opponent. Third caution leads to immediate disqualification.
5) Disqualifications:
In case of 3 cautions.
In case of serious foul.
6) Prohibited actions:
Use of closed guard.
Neck vices.
Dojime.
Neck and spine attacks.
Small joints manipulation (fingers).
Heel hook.
Head spiking.
Throws against the joint.
Standing joint locks.
Any kind of striking.
Use of Vaseline or any similar substances on the body.
Biting, scratching, eye gouging, fish hooking.
Any kind of non- sportsmanship behavior.
7) Match preparation:
Both players have to red/ black or blue/ white shorts.
Both players have to appear with short cut nails and wipe off the sweat before entering the mat.
8) Manners:
It is prohibited to question the decision of the referee.
The player's corner man or supporters must behave in social common sense or will be removed from the competition area.
